Jim Boz is an award winning Middle Eastern dancer and choreographer in San Diego, CA. He has entertained audiences internationally with performances both solo and with his professional dance troupe Sandstorm. His workshops are characterized by a wealth of information, carefully organized and presented in a supportive environment.
 
Jim Boz will bring to you the scoop on what it is to be an oriental dance entertainer while he dazzles your soul with his humor. He teaches with a spirit that will surely influence your dance performance for your audiences to enjoy.
 
Workshops 1 & 2
Saturday June 23, 1 – 4 pm
1 – “From Drills to Drum Solo”
Accents and isolation techniques and phrasing for energetic drum solos. Beginning with drills &
warm- ups, we will explorephrasing for drum solos and accents culminating in an exciting collection of phrases. 1 pm – 4 pm (3 hrs)

Sunday June 24, 1 – 4 pm
2 – “Oriental Combos from Sassy to Demure” – A Collection of Techniques anCombos to Increase your range as a performer.  Delicious and delightful, we’ll explore phrasing, energy transfer, texture sequencing and techniques to add to your dance vocabulary.  1 pm – 4 pm (3 hrs)
